Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the episode. With the all-star game around the corner I thought it would be fun to post the all-star ballot from the packs we opened, leave YOUR all-star team selection in the comments.

  2. Oh man, you just cracked my favorite set of all-time ... I loved those UpperDeck cards. They were the first one's that I seriously collected and maybe spent $3000 on packs.

A couple anecdotes from that year:

If you ever get Pavel Bure's card it's freakin' awesome. Yes, he is wearing Roller Blades and sitting on a railing.

I was given a signed Jagr card from that year and refuse to put it in a hardcase because Jagr eventually stabbed the Penguins in the back. Its a headshot with his giant mullet sitting on a bench. The picture on the back is priceless.

  6. Wow...Kelly Hrudy...taught Dominic Hasek how to flop and twitch like a beached whale on the ice. You guys are both right about Ferraro...he was on Rogers Sportsnet and is now part of the panel on TSN. Totally agree with your 3 stars....I do believe I have that Pavel Bure card of him on rollerblades.....good show!

  11. Greatings from Sweden, one who were there during this somewhat shameful final. :/ Actually Cdeno Ziger was pretty solid, he went home simply becouse he felt homesick. 70 points in 1995-96.
Kasatonov was on level with Larionov and both played on the top-5 during almost of the eighties. Only reason he did'nt have as nice of a NHL-career as Igor might be he's two years older and did'nt come over until age 31.

    Great blog whatsoever.

  12. Hello Sweden! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, sorry about the World Juniors...

Thanks for the heads up on Kasatonov.

Spread the word in Sweden :)
